PILE OU FACE[pil‿-u-fas] is a concept album by Casilian.
The title in itself means “heads or tails” in french and represents the duality, contrast, the darkness and the light in ourselves and the world around us.
It’s an attempt in creating a safe space for everyone who has ever felt alone and misunderstood.

Do we all have a shadow-part to ourselves that we have not discovered yet? Or that we refuse to acknowledge and look at?
The story follows a girl named Mimi, who is desperately chasing after her lost golden star. Little did she know that her world would turn completely upside down.
The story is inspired by Carl G. Jung´s psychology on Shadow-archetype;
It reveals interest in the form and contents of the shadow and the assimilation of “the thing a person has no wish to be”.
